11. Ricardo Reis Suite

Ricardo Reis is one of Fernando Pessoa's heteronyms. He sums up his philosophy of life in his own words, admonishing: 'See life from a distance. Never question it. There's nothing it can tell you.'

Situated in the South Wing, the Ricardo Reis suite offers magnificent volume with exceptional views on the old city and the Sea Straw. Composed of a living room, a terrace , kitchenette and one sumptuous bedroom coated with the original tile panels of the Master Valentim de Almeida and original “frescos”.
It also boasts an incredible view throughout the garden and the rive Tagus.

09. Amadeu Souza Cardoso Suite

Named after the most famous modern art Portuguese painter, the Amadeu Souza Cardoso Suite is the epitome of luxury, comfort and space.

Situated in the South wing, overlooking the garden, the swimming pool and the river, this massive suite offers a small entrance lobby, a dressing room, a living room, a bedroom with a double bed and a large marble bathroom with separate shower.

Two spacious terraces overlooking the river Tagus complete the offer of this amazing suite.

The spacious lounge with original 18th century tiles and it's 4 meter high ceiling are completed with and exclusive fireplace, a private library and a large table overlooking the garden.

07. Padre Himalaya Suite

The Padre Himalaya suite was named after Padre Himalaya who was a Portuguese Jesuit, but also investigator, scientist and ecologist. The Padre Himalaya suite is located on the 3rd floor of the Palácio, on the northeast corner. It is built on what once before was the top of the Roman Tower. This suite transmits a feeling of romanticism. It is composed of a living room, a large bathroom and on the top floor, the suite's bedroom.

The other feature is the top-level room. Ascending from the bathroom, through a spiral staircase, the suite's bedroom is like a dream. With windows facing all the quadrants, it has a 360 degrees view. Pure Passion!. It is decorated in yellows and orange tile.

The bedroom is furnished with a XVIIth century portuguese table and a bird cage. 05. Bartolomeu de Gusmão Suite

The Bartolomeu de Gusmão Suite was named after a Portuguese Jesuit, who invented the hot air balloon before the French Montgolfier, but did not patent it. The Suite is located on the second and a half floor of the Palace, also East, on four different levels. The main level comprises a hall corridor leading to an original Muslim Tower staircase, made in Lioz stone.

From this staircase, and on the same level, the octogonal room is accessed. This is a living room with original XVIIIth century tile panels, high ceiling and views east and south. Descending the staircase, a little bar area. Ascending the staircase, the suite's bedroom is one floor above the main room. The bedroom has an outstanding view facing southeast, the paneled ceiling, giving a feeling of comfort. Ascending one more floor, the suite's terrace offers a magnificient view. This suite transmits a feeling of beeing in a hot balloon and at the same time simplicity and peacefulness, symbol of the spirit of the Palácio.

The decor of the sitting room apart from the Azulejos 1730 and its special architecture consist of a very unique commode Dona Maria and miror of the XVIIIth century in perfect state, and a very nice carpet in the light greens of the XIXth century.

The bedroom - painted in apricot with covers and curtains in salvage silk light grey- is decorated with a rare small table Joao V with a lamp in "bois doré", end XVIIIth century. The bathroom all covered with "azul caiscais" marble offers through two false windows an enchanting view over the old city. On the terrasse you will discover at the foot of an olive tree and jasmin, the whole panaroma of the old city of Lisbon and hear the bells of the 7 churches around.
